A Legacy of Excellence Since 1950
School History
Bijoygarh Shiksha Niketan for Girls’ Higher Secondary School was established by Lt. Gouri Chakraborty in 1950 as a primary school for poor children in Bijoygarh, a refugee colony for displaced people from East Bengal.
Initially, the school had no government aid and operated without its own building, relying on community efforts.
With the dedication of Smt. Ila Gupta and Sri Manindra Chandra Pal, the school earned official recognition and secured a permanent campus.
Over time, it evolved into a recognized Higher Secondary institution, affiliated with Banglar Shiksha.

Mid-Day Meal
Every student receives a healthy and nutritious meal daily under the West Bengal Government’s Mid-Day Meal Scheme. This initiative not only ensures proper nutrition but also encourages regular school attendance and active participation in learning.
Smart Classroom

Hostel Service
Hostel facilities are available for underprivileged students under the Sarva Shiksha Mission, accommodating up to 100 students from Classes I–VIII. The hostel provides a safe, secure, and supportive environment for students from distant areas.
Bus Service
To make daily commuting easier, we offer reliable and convenient transportation facilities. The school buses cover nearby routes, ensuring safe travel to and from school for all students.
Free Govt Aids
Our students benefit from various State Government welfare schemes such as Kanyashree,Oikhyashree, Shikhyashree, Medhyashree, Swami Vivekananda Scholarship,Oasis and others. These initiatives provide financial assistance, educational support, and encouragement to continue studies without barriers.
