Bijoygarh Shiksha Niketan for Girls’ Higher Secondary School was established by Lt. Gouri Chakraborty in 1950 as a primary school for poor children in Bijoygarh, a refugee colony for displaced people from East Bengal.
Initially, the school had no government aid and operated without its own building, relying on community efforts.
With the dedication of Smt. Ila Gupta and Sri Manindra Chandra Pal, the school earned official recognition and secured a permanent campus.
Over time, it evolved into a recognized Higher Secondary institution, affiliated with Banglar Shiksha.
To create a nurturing and inspiring environment where students think critically, act responsibly, and dream boldly. We strive to build a community that values learning, resilience, and excellence, empowering every girl to shape her own future.
